Tequila

Tequila is one of the oldest alcoholic drinks in the world with a history stretching over 200 years. It is made from Blue Agave, and is mostly produced in southern Mexican states of Jalisco, Michoacan, Nayarit, Guanajuato and Tamaulipas. There are hundreds of brands of different tequila, below is a selection of different unique and popular tequilas.

1800- First produced in 1800, this tequila is an expensive and classy brand.

901- Produced by Justin Timberlake, and a sponsor for Live Nation concerts, 901 is a new "hip" tequila. The name 901 is in reference to Timberlake's hometown of Memphis.

BooYa- Launched in 2008 from Jalisco, Mexico, BooYa features tequilas with a a consistent taste and flavor, and is gaining in popularity.

Cabo Wabo- A popular brand of tequila founded by rock musician Sammy Hagar.

Casa Tequila XQ- A traditional Mexican tequila that comes in some crazy bottles, but still keeps close the tradition which tequila comes from.

Cazadores- Started in 1922 in Jalisco, Cazadores is a popular tequila, and the name means hunters.

Don Eduardo- Award winning tequila produced in Jalisco, Mexico.

Don Julio- Produced since 1942, Don Julio is one of the most popular fine tequilas in the world. With a distinct taste and an expensive price tag, this tequila is enjoyed by the high-class on a regular basis.

Dinastia Cardona- A company founded in 2007, their tequila is slowly growing in poularity.

El Jimador- One of the best selling tequilas in Mexico.

Jose Cuervo- Cuervo claims to be the first commercial producer of tequila in 1795. They offer a multitude of different tequilas, and are one of the most recognized brands in the world. Cuervo appeals to many people for its relatively low price point.

La Certeza- A company over 200 years old that describes their tequila as, "smooth, elegant, refined - in a word, exceptional."

Patron- An extremely popular fine tequila, it is one of the most commercially successful expensive tequilas in the United States.

Sauza- Over a 130 years old, Sauza is a cheaper tequila, perfect for college students on a budget, or anyone who may not be able to afford a nice tequila.

Senor Frogs- A tequila made by the famous restaurant franchise.

XXX- An award winning and celebrity endorsed product, that should leave you wanting more.

Yeyo- A new ultra-premium silver tequila from Jalisco, Mexico.
