Ofelia ZepedaZepeda is a Tohono O'odham poet, writer and professor of linguistics at the University of Arizona. Zepeda has published several books iwith her most recent in 2008 called Where Clouds are Formed. As a poet Ofelia writes in English and O'odham. Other books that she had written are Jewed 'I-hoi / Earth Movements: O'odham Poems and Ocean Power: Poems frmo the Desert. She also the author of the first Tohono O'odham grammar book. Sherman Alexie
Alexie is a Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Indian writer who has published an array of poetry, novels, and collection of stories. He has also written three movies, 49?, Smoke Signals and The Business of Fancydancing. Not to mention he also directed The Business of Fancydancing. Luci Tapahonso
Tapahonso is a Navajo poet, writer and professor at the University of Arizona. She teaches American Indian literature and creative writing courses. Tapahonso is the author of three children's books and five books of poetry. Her latest published book was A Radient Curve: Poems and Stories in 2008. Others books Tapahonso has published are Blue Horses Ruhs in: Poems and Stories, Saanii Dahataal/The Women are Singing: Poems and Stories and A Breeze Swept Through.
