The 85th Annual Tucson Rodeo Parade took place Feb. 26  in South Tucson, Ariz. The parade is hailed as the longest non-motorized parade in the United States and is the longest one-day spectator event in the state of Arizona, according to Bob Stewart, a member of the Tucson Rodeo Parade Committee.

It was estimated that anywhere from 225,000 to 240,000 people were in attendance at the parade on Friday afternoon. The track ran south down Park Avenue, west to Irvington Road, then north to Sixth Avenue and ending at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds. The route was one and three-quarters of a mile long, about three-quarters of a mile shorter than last year.

Though this year's parade just ended, next year's is already in sight for the Tucson Rodeo Committee.

"We're starting today to organize next years parade," said Stewart.
